Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Aurora's Newborn Session
I had the privilege to capture Audrey’s maternity and newborn session. Audrey has been a blast through her experience. I love getting to know my clients before and after their experience. We discussed colors and dresses before her session. Then she was able to choose which dress she would love to have at her maternity session. She looked so beautiful. We cracked jokes the entire time while I was able to get to know their love story. Audrey chose darker colors her newborn session. Even though she did not like pink, I knew one set up she would fall in love with. I am so glad when girl moms choose colors that most normally wouldn’t. I absolutely love a baby girl in a pop of color like navy, blue, purple, or even burgundy. I asked on Instagram “neutral or pop of color?” one time. I was a little surprised when neutral was the winner. I know how simple and elegant it is but I LOVE a pop of color because it is not something you normally see in the newborn world. I loved when Audrey chose my beautiful lilac maternity dress so I wanted to incorporate the same purple. Especially since we both love purple. ;)
Aurora did not take long to warm up. Mom was a little nervous at first but I promise it takes a little bit for newborns to get used to me touching them, unwrapping them, and constantly adjusting their hands and head. They usually fall asleep after a little or some even come asleep and do not even budge. It is a lot different being in a new environment while constantly being moved around. Especially when you are just trying to sleep. LOL. That is why I encourage parents to keep their baby up for two hours before their session.
