Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Mandie's Newborn Session
Mandie is such a precious baby girl. She might have been feisty at first but it didn’t last very long before she gave up. I can honestly say I think she liked me. The whole second half of her session she just smiled. When Monica booked her newborn session, I knew it would special. The beautiful purple lace with her complexion was the cutest. I love having unique set ups for each client. It truly makes the experience that much better. I had been anxious to use this lace backdrop since it was so different. I love bold colors and set ups that might catch the eye of the parents.
A lot of clients go back and fourth because lets face it, it is an investment. Photography is a luxury that you do not technically need. However, it is an investment you will not regret. You are investing in precious memories that will last forever. You will be able to look back and remember all the little details I captured. Those little rolls, toes, and cute baby smiles. It’s something that can’t be forgotten. The experience of setting up beautiful props and taking your first portrait session with your new blessing. I have clients who always say. “I wish I did this with my first.” Their biggest regret is not investing while their child was a newborn. It can be so heartbreaking for me to hear since you can’t turn back time and do it. You hear people say, “they grow up so fast.” I truly didn’t believe that until I had my first child. Now in a blink of an eye, she’s five. When it’s time for your cake smash, I am truly thinking how fast that first year. <3
TELL ME ABOUT NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
When it truly comes down to newborn photography, you shouldn’t just “wing” it. In this case, you get what you pay for could be dangerous. Newborn safety is my top priority. That is why I always have my hand on the baby or have someone spotting. I also do not force any poses that baby does not like. Trust me, I can tell when the baby is uncomfortable, hungry, or colic. An experienced newborn photographer is someone you should be able to trust. Your blessing deserves to be handled with love and care. I care for all my newborns just like my own. Plus, snuggles are the best. A photographer has to have patience, passion, and pure love. The three P’s is the most important with newborn photography. You are on the baby’s time schedule no matter how much you plan. Feeding, posing, calming, and changing can take time so being patience is the key in newborn photography. Newborn props, time, and education is why professionals charge the way they do. It means we have years of experience and some of the best education.
