Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Taytum's Newborn Session
I have been waiting for this for months and months. I have photographed their family for years. When Jessi reached out to tell me she was expecting, I almost fell over. I know they have prayed for this child for an extremely long time. I couldn't even put into words how excited I was. I knew how special this journey was to them. I am so thankful I get to be apart of it. <3
Here is their story:
“Our journey started two years ago when my husband and I started trying for a sweet little miracle. It turned quickly to heartbreak after heartbreak each month to see our dreams slip further away. But nevertheless, my amazing husband stood by my side through all the tears and the pain and promised he would make my dreams come true. He knew my fears of having kids after 30 because of the loss of my mother at an early age. I have always told him, “I don’t want to leave my children without a mother at any age because I know 21 years with mine just wasn’t even enough”. But he has been an amazing support through every minute of this crazy adventure. With a little help from the amazing staff at ArkLaTex Fertility and Dr. Vandermolen, we finally were blessed by God with our beautiful little miracle. These past 8 months have been filled with amazing highs and lows and truly cannot believe we are blessed enough to be chosen as parents of our beautiful Taytum Rose. She has already showing her personality and causes mommy & daddy tons of havoc. She is making sure we know that now we are on “her” time and makes her existence known to everyone. Tristan & I, along with the rest of our families, are so excited for this precious girl to come into all of our lives and put her stamp on the world.”
I am always honored when my clients decide to do maternity and newborn. I love watching women bloom into motherhood. It is such a special part of their life and a special part of my job. Jessi wanted a lifestyle session with a mix of studio. She loved being able to have both especially since the weather was not working in our favor anyways. She loved being able to have an alternative to the normal outsdoor photographs. Studio sessions are honestly some of my favorites because you can get a variety in so many different ways.
Taytum was almost 6 weeks and so perfect. If I am able to take older babies, I will defintely do just that. I know how fast these moments can pass you by. You never want to look back and regret it. The session usually goes by the baby anyways. I have had younger babies not like me and older babies love me. I am 100% on their time. I can promise either way, we will get the cutest shots. If there is a chance of getting awake shots, I will always do that.
Mom did not have speciifc colors so I loved being able to get creative. I added flowers and pink since she is a princess. Mom also wanted her mother’s pearls incoorporated. Anything sentimental you would love to bring, feel free. I know it is important to most families. Mom fell in love with this beautiful blue and perfect crown.
