Shreveport, Louisiana Child Photographer | Vala's Cake Smash Session

I was extremely excited to work with Vala and her momma! Is she a doll or what? When A’Sharryah reached out to me, I was excited to get creative. We started with a simple boho theme since her cake smash theme was more vintage. This outfit is in my client closet and let me just say, I FELL IN LOVE. Look at her cute expressions! I tried to take her home but of course mom said no. Dang it! She gave me a run for my money but her cute little giggle made the session that much better. Since she just started walking, she enjoyed my studio a lot. It was her chance to run around. I can’t forget how much she loved to look at my camera. She knew what I was doing because she would walk over, turn her head, and just stare at my camera. I swear it was the cutest thing EVER!

Mom wanted a greater than Gatsby theme so we planned this session for a few months. I love to be creative but it was a little tough to come up with this set up. We ended up deciding to mix it with a vintage feel since it was old times. Those kissy faces! I can’t lie, mom had a run for her money too. Vala was not very interested in the cake but still gave the cutest facial expressions. She would put her down and Vala would get up quick and run off. She was a fast little girl. I couldn’t wait to get home to edit these because I thought it turned out so cute. I love anything that can let me be creative and think outside of the box.
