This little rainbow baby! He was definitely loved long before he arrived. You should have seen all of Oliver’s hair and eyelashes in person. They were fabulous. This little cutie sure LOVED seeing what was going on. He was 5 weeks and did amazing. He loved to smile and look at all the lights in the studio. His parents drove 6 hours for me to do his newborn session. Sleep was involved before the session of course. They came in to stay the night before. How honored am I? VERY! I get clients who drive 2-4 hours for their session. It is very common. If you want a certain photographer, don’t be nervous to make it happen. It’s the one thing you will never regret. You get the entire experience instead of just wondering. I can’t lie, 6 hours is not very common. It has happened before but I would say 2-4 is common. I do typically take babies when they are 2-3 weeks. If I happen to have a last minute opening, I will do any age. It all depends on the baby not so much the age if I am being honest. At the end of the day, we cuddle and they fall asleep. If they don’t, do not worry. That is what I’m trained for. I always work on baby’s time since they are the star of the show. Plus, who does not love awake shots? You get to see their beautiful eyes so I definitely take advantage of them when I can. Once he was wrapped, he was out like a light. He loved to be so snuggly. Mom even mentioned I come there to wrap him. Haha! I love hearing that because I have never had a baby who didn’t like being wrapped.
