Shreveport, Louisiana Maternity Photographer | Ally's Maternity Session
Allyssa is my best friend’s sister. So basically my sister. When they reached out wanting me to capture her maternity and newborn session, I was thrilled. It is always a blessing to work with friends and family. It truly shows how much friends and family support you. Even by just sharing, discussing, and liking your photographs. I will always appreciate all the love and support from every one.
Ally was so beautiful. She never had professional hair and makeup done. She was excited to get the full experience since she never had professional photographs either. Maternity and newborn photography is so special because you can’t go back in time to redo them. It is a limited time and such a powerful experience. The woman’s body is incredible! I will never get tired of capturing all the details during pregnancy and the newborn stage.
She flaunted every single pose. I love how she mentioned, “I am super awkward.” Sit back and relax. I will pose every inch of you. I don’t expect any one to come in and know how to model or pose. That is my job plus styling and guidance. I will take care of everything for you so you don’t have to. Being creative and using photoshop to create so many incredible photographs is one of my favorite parts about photography. Besides meeting some of the most incredible people. I love every single family has a different story to tell. Every one is so unique in their own way! No two sessions will be exactly the same. You will get your own experience!
Ally had psoriasis. I love that she wanted me to touch it up but not remove it. She was concerned at first with doing fine art nude shots because of it. I am truly inspired by her embracing what she has had her whole life. If you didn’t know, psoriasis is A condition in which skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches. Psoriasis is thought to be an immune system problem. Triggers include infections, stress, and cold. The most common symptom is a rash on the skin, but sometimes the rash involves the nails or joints. Treatment aims to remove scales and stop skin cells from growing so quickly. Topical ointments, light therapy, and medications can offer relief. She flaunted every single pose.
