Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Emilia's Newborn Session
Emilia was such an angel. I absolutely loved her name as well. She was a HUGE fan of rocking and cuddling. The paci not so much. LOL. When a baby does not like the paci, we definitely just move away from it. When Jocelyn reached out for me to capture her maternity and newborn session, I was thrilled. When clients reach out who live far it makes me feel appreciated. Especially making that drive to Shreveport, Louisiana more than once. I could tell how much this meant to her. She was extremely excited to start a family of her own. We coordinated her maternity session and newborn session for her wall art. She fell in love with girly things but burgundy was definitely her favorite. I also encourage women to wear a gown or the same gown for their newborn photographs. Jocelyn definitely thought it was sentimental to wear the gown from her maternity session. Her wall art will match perfectly!
Her family was a huge part of the sessions. Unfortunately, dad was unable to make it because he was getting cows for them. LOL. But seeing her moms reaction at the ordering was priceless. I love when family come to view the special moments. It was wonderful to see how much family meant to her. I can definitely relate. She also brought her oldest step daughter which was awesome because I got to meet her. For Emilia’s first birthday photographs, Jocelyn expressed getting all the kids together plus having dad’s motorcycle in some. Anything unique definitely gets my creative juices flowing.
Mom and sister did not want to be in the photographs. However, I am thankful I talked them into it. These are grandmother’s only two granddaughters. How special will this be later down the road? Mom came in town when Emilia was born so I knew she had to be in at least one for memories. Emilia would just stare and smile at grandmother during the newborn session. It was the sweetest thing! I know how fast they grow so these are memories you can’t get back. This is one BEAUTIFUL family!
