I wanted to introduce myself while showing you my art. I am Kristina Banks and I own Kristina Banks Photography and Express Your Beauty Photography. We specialize in maternity, newborn, and boudoir photography. I also mentor other photographers.

Foremost, I am a mother of a little girl and wife to my highschool sweetheart. I have been in business 10 years. My studio is off Youree Dr. Which is the perfect location since everything you can think of is around there. I love coffee, writing, gardening, and cats. I have 5 cats. It is normal for my clients to drive 2-4 hours for their session. Some have even flown to me. Don’t worry, we will help to accommodate you the best we can.

When I started photography, I bought an old camera from a friend. I tempted to take photographs of my newborn daughter. Everything after that was history. I realized early on running a business was more difficult than I anticipated. I started learning more and growing. Safety was big to me! I had to know what I was doing if I want to protect my clients. My biggest supporter was always my husband. We both sacrificed a lot for me to be where I am today.

I actually only did sessions out my home until about 4 years ago. I was working 3 jobs while being a nursing student. I took my last student loan payment and made the biggest leap of my life. What I didn’t know then is that I was going to make the best decision of my life. It took a while to get it where I wanted it but I am glad I decided to pursue my passion with my whole heart. I knew I wanted to build connections and capture the journey to motherhood. I have met so many amazing families! I have also heard so many incredible stories. I know I meant to do this because we have been struggling with infertility for almost 6 years. My clients make me feel less alone. Not only that but they also let me know I am supported.

Soon after, my clients were telling about how much maternity gowns were to wear just one time. Especially more than one. That’s when I had to idea to offer gowns, lingerie, and jewelry. That way my clients knows what fits, they have options, and a variety to choose from for their session. I knew it was going to be a big investment so saving was the most important to me. I wanted to provide a stress free experience for each client. I also wanted it to be personable to each family. You get to choose the colors and set ups that interest you most. To this day, I still rotate and purchase new gowns and props. We only purchase from well known high quality vendors. That is when I also met my amazing makeup and hair artist. Samantha is a blessing! She is very outgoing and comical just like me. She knows how to make our clients laugh because they are the top priority for her as well. She has been with me for almost 4 years. It’s outstanding to have someone I can depend on. Someone who turned into my best friend.

I just knew from the start I didn’t want my clients to just have digitals sitting on their phone. I wanted to create beautiful custom artwork for them as well. We offer a variety of heirlooms for your entire family to enjoy. Acrylic albums with a variety of color options, acrylic wall art, and custom framed prints. You get to choose how to customize your own products so they fit your home perfectly. Not only am I blessed my clients choose me but I am also blessed they trust me to design heirlooms for their home. Heirlooms that will be passed down generation to generation.
