When to Book Your Newborn Session—and What to Expect
Those first few days with your newborn are a whirlwind of emotion, snuggles, and awe. In the blink of an eye, your tiny baby starts to grow and change. You will be able to get home and comfortable before your newborn session. Newborn sessions typically take place 7-21 days. We do them around 10-14 days new. Once you pay your session fee for your photoshoot, we write your due date down. We only accept a limited amount of newborn sessions per month due to unpredictable birth. We all know babies love to make an appearance when they want.

Your Experience
Newborn sessions are designed to be peaceful and slow-paced. I always do the session on baby’s time. We have plenty of time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and plenty of snuggles. The baby’s comfort and safety are always the top priority. That is why newborn sessions are typically 2-4 hours depending on baby. We want to be patient and slow. You never want to hire a newborn photographer who isn’t patient and experienced. We will do a variety of poses. What to Bring
All you have to bring is diapers and milk. Formula or breastmilk. We provide everything you need. From makeup and hair to outfits to props to headbands. We strive for a stress free experience so you don’t have to worry about anything. All you do is show up in your comfortable clothes. You will be able to get pampered while I pose your little one. I will then do sibling shots if need to and then family at the end. I do this because after table poses, baby is usually relaxes and ready for wrapped shots. Plus who doesn’t love awake shots? Sometimes baby is awake so we get to capture their cutest facial expressions and wide eyes.
What to Wear
Stick to soft, neutral colors (white, beige, pastels) for a timeless look
Avoid busy big patterns or logos
Moms: we have outfits for you so don’t worry. We have a client closet of 100+ gowns.
A button down onesie and a loose diaper if possible
You technically don’t need shoes but I would do flats for mom and nice shoes for dads with slacks or dark jeans and a button up.

You should feel comfortable and trust me, communication is key. I want to know which poses, colors, and style you love. I know you trust my expertise but this is also your session. So you get the biggest say. You will also be able to view all our products in person. That way you know exactly what you’re getting. When you hire a professional, you deserve a professional product. You’ll purchase your digitals and products 1-2 weeks after the session. YES! Just 1-2 weeks after and they will be completely edited. You don’t have to wait.
