Rhyatt's Newborn Session
I am so thankful I was able to meet Rhyatt and his amazing family! I knew they were going through a lot. They thought they would not be able to get newborn photographs due to him being in and out the hospital. He is also almost a month in a half. I loved getting to know all about him and telling his story. Rhyatt is unique in his own little way. He is also a happy and healthy baby boy! I hope to capture his journey throughout his life. Pray for a safe and easy surgery in October!
Here is his story:
"I remember the day we found out about Rhyatt's cleft lip and possible cleft palate. I think I cried the entire day (and many days after that too). It was our first baby and hearing that something may be "wrong" with him just broke my heart. Once it was confirmed he had a cleft lip, it felt like a whirlwind of nothing but doctors appointments for the remainder of my pregnancy. They told us a little of what to expect and how to prepare. They also told us all about the numerous surgeries he would have to have. I felt so overwhelmed. No one wants to hear anything other than your baby is perfect in every single way! I remembering asking God "WHY? This is too much. I'm not strong enough for this!"
On July 2, 2017 at 9:23 PM I found out exactly why. As I was holding my precious baby boy for the first time, I swear my heart stopped for a split second. He was so perfect in every single way. I knew God made Colton and I his parents because Rhyatt needed us and we needed him. We love him so much and can't wait to see his already big personality grow even bigger."
