Shreveport, Louisiana Newborn Photographer | Charlotte's Newborn Session
Charlotte was in the studio after SEVERAL boys. So of course we had to use all the girly things! Mom wanted to match her maternity but also the nursery. She was open to other colors so of course I had to do several. The purple and tan will match her maternity gowns perfectly. The green as well but the nursery is a nature theme. All the beautiful spring colors. She was such a little doll that LOVED cuddles. Stephanie even stood beside me for the table poses. She said, “I don’t know how you do it.” LOL! It has taught me a lot of patience that is for sure. I don’t just think about the process but also the results.
Details are a must for every newborn session. I swear I am obsessed with baby toes just like the majority of my clients. They grow so fast which means their little features do as well. Stephanie wanted to incorporate her grandmother’s ring. I know she wishes she was still here. That is something that will be cherished forever. Anything sentimental is always welcomed!
Depending how baby is feeling the day of the session, I go with that. If they are sleepy, I will do table poses first. If not, I will do wrapped and come back. Babies run the show and I am here for the snuggles. Being serious though, if they are awake that is perfectly fine. I love awake shots. I also find parents do as well. However, some poses for safety baby has to be nice and content. Safety is THE top priority for me. So grab a chair or relax on the couch with a snack and beverage. You can ensure your little one is in great hands for their newborn portraits.
Just hearing them say how thankful they are means the world to me. They are so amazing! The made sure to let me know they appreciate my art and hard work. As an artist, that means the world. Sometimes you don’t see what goes on behind the scenes.
