Embracing the Journey: A Relaxed Maternity Photoshoot.

I know I haven’t been writing lately. The summer got the best of me and I have been busier than ever. I am excited over the next month to catch up on writing. I truly mean it.

Today, I wanted to address the elephant in the room. The good and bad parts of pregnancy. Let’s face it, you’re growing and changing every single month. It can even feel like every day. Your emotions are high, hormones are increasing, and you might not feel like yourself. Hey, that’s okay. People tend to leave out the hard parts. They think you should just be grateful everyday. Well, I am here to tell you that your feelings are valid. Every single emotion you feel, feel it all. It’s hard growing a baby that needs you. You often think, “am I eating enough? Is it healthy? Did I feel him/her kick today? Why do I feel like this today? Will I get my old body back? Guess what… Those are normal thoughts all women have. Don’t feel bad about having questions. You are going through a life changing journey.

You might even come to your session not feeling the best. That’s okay. I am not only there as your photographer. I am there as a friend and someone who will support your every decision. We will put our visions together and I can promise you will leave feeling incredible. You deserve to celebrate this journey the way you want to. That is why I will go at your pace. Need a snack? Need to vent? Need to rest? That is totally up to you. I only take one session at a time so you never feel rushed. We will do several set ups for your photoshoot. That includes casual, gowns, fabric, and even classic nude to embrace your belly. Your session has endless possibilities.

I mean look at Madison. She is stunning! I remember her coming in excited but also nervous. Can you believe she said she was awkward? The best part is you can never tell. Don’t worry, I am awkward too. There’s nothing wrong with that. You aren’t a born model. I will help guide you the entire time. That’s my job. You just sit back and relax while I do all the work. After makeup and hair, you’ll be able to try on any dresses you love. We have 100+ to choose from. So I promise you will love A LOT.
